Heart disease has several variations such as hypertension, congenital heart disease, heart infection, and disorders of the heart valves. It doesn’t grow all at once but increasing slowly and insidiously and a few patient knows and realizes that the disease is forming. It is true that exercise, a healthy diet or low cholesterol can prevent the various forms of this disease. But, some types of heart disease are not the result of unhealthy lifestyle habits. Viruses can bring heart diseases on a new baby born.
The most risk factors that cause heart disease are high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, obesity, lack of physical activity, heredity, gender and age. Most of them can be reduced by controlling high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, obesity, and inactivity. Moreover, some factors also contribute in increasing the risk. They are stress, sex hormones, birth control pills and alcohol.
